Jajapur,12/03/2021( Suresh Kar) Four youths were arrested and Court forwarded in the connection for attempting to rape a girl student of plus two in the Kaliapani area of Jajpur district on last Sunday night.The victim is a college student from Duburi area in Jajpur district, had gone to collect her scholarship money from a private company at Kaliapani area with a friend of her .These four accused youths had stooped both at a secluded place on the road following where the boy friend had opposed them.
But the accused were attacked the boy and forcefully took the girl into the nearby jungle and attempted to rape. The helpless minor fought with them and managed to escape from there. She rushed to a nearby house shouting for help. That was the house of a lady home guard.
Suddenly She had informed Kaliapani police station about the incident. Police reached at the place and started the action and nabbed the accused that night conducting frequent raids in the nearby areas.
Police also have arrested these accused who were identified as Santosh Prusti, Satyabrata Behera alias Babloo, Umesh Chandra Mahanta alias Silu, and Rabi Nayak and forwarded them Court .The accused were produced in court and remanded in judicial custody after their bail pleas were rejected. As per information accused Santosh works as a cook in contractual basis with Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF) in this region .
However this incident makes the citizens in here very irritated and Shame that was informed by our Local representative Sri Subasis Das Mohapatro and Some of them requested Police to give an eyesight punishment to these accused where no body can do this type of a heinous works ,Sri Mohapatra added.
