Rourkela, 28./10 (Sandhan News/M Rout). The Rourkela Municipal Corporation has launched 3 online competitions for its’ citizen in view of the Swachh Survekhsan – 2021. While Rourkela had done well in the Nation Wide Competition last year than previous years; this year The corporation is aiming to perform better at the National Level.
One of the competitions is for the “Hero of Rourkela” award. Individuals or organizations that work for Swachhata or to prevent Covid-19 virus can participate in the competition. Especially this is for the Start-Ups, Entrepreneurs, Religious Organizations and Voluntary Organizations etc. Any person associated with these organizations can send their nominations through e-mail ID – swachhrourkela.rmc@gmail.com or RMC’s WhatsApp number – 7846806035 by Writing few lines and by attaching maximum 5 Photographs of the work they have done or doing towards Swachhata and preventing COVID-19. All the nominations will then be assessed and eligible individuals and organizations will be awarded accordingly. The last date for the application is 15.11.2020
The second competition is aimed at youth and the people interested in making jingles and Short films. People who wish to participate in this competition have to prepare a jingle or short film with a length of Maximum 60 seconds about awareness regarding Swachhata or regarding prevention of Covid-19 disease and should send by 15.11.2020 through the E-Mail ID of RMC, i.e. – swachhrourkela.rmc@gmail.com or RMC’s WhatsApp number – 7846806035. It will then be evaluated and prizes will be awarded to eligible contestants. There is no age bar for this competition.
The Municipal Corporation has also launched a competition for the school and college students. A student of any class can prepare a poster or make an art related to cleanliness or covid-19. They have to click the picture and have to send it through the E-Mail ID of RMC, i.e. – swachhrourkela.rmc@gmail.com or RMC’s WhatsApp number – 7846806035. It must be sent by November 15, 2020. It will then be evaluated and prizes will be given to eligible contestants. Any student of any class, whether school or colleges; can participate in the competition.
Through this competition, the municipal corporation aims to educate every section of the society about Swachhata. Not only that, the corporation hopes that Rourkela can become a clean city and perform well in the Swachh Survekshan – 2021; if people are aware. It is hoped that the competition will educate people at large about Swachhata and prevention of Covid-19 pandemic.
