Chandikhoel, Jajpur (Sandhan News) A massive Abacus Math Competition was successfully organized today at the open-air ground of DU Public School campus, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and academic excellence. More than 170 students from different schools across the district participated in the competition and showcased their exceptional skills in speed calculation, accuracy, and mental mathematics through abacus techniques. The event aimed to enhance numerical ability, concentration, and confidence among young learners. After the completion of the examination, the judges carefully evaluated the answer sheets and selected the winners, declaring first, second, and third prize holders. For smooth and systematic management of the event, the participants were divided into four different category groups, each creatively named according to age and learning level.
A prize distribution ceremony was held at the venue to felicitate the winners and encourage all participants. Eminent educationist Dr. Sudhir Samal attended the programme as the Chief Guest and motivated the students by highlighting the importance of abacus education in strengthening logical thinking and mental agility. The programme was also graced by the Director of the institution, Dr. Biswajit Mohapatra, along with distinguished guests Dr. Sujata Mohapatra, Dr. Rajasri Mohapatra, and Ranjit Mohapatra. The teachers and staff of DU Public School played a vital role in organizing the competition and ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.
