Baripada, 26.12.2020(sandhan news/ Lingaraj panda): Odisha Vigilance today arrested Udhab Padhy, Deputy Executive Engineer, R&B sub-division, Gunupur for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.According to reports, Padhy was found in possession of assets worth Rs 1.83 crore including assets disproportionate to his known sources of nicome to the tune of Rs 1.47 crore, which he could not account for satisfactorily. After the arrest, he was produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur. The court remanded him to judicial custody till January 6.
On the strength of search warrant issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur, officers of the anti-corruption agency had yesterday carried out simultaneous searches at his triple storied residential building at Kamapalli, Berhampur, his business unit at Dharakote, his office and government quarter at Gunupur, and one flat in Puri.
